We are a Non Profit Organization for Veterans and their Families who need help. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Independent Veterans Society of Indiana’s purpose is to assist Veterans and their Families who need help in the northwest Indiana region. This organization offers guidance, information, support groups and help with Veteran’s issues. Although we may not have all the answers we will do the best that we can in assisting Veterans and their Families with whatever issues that they bring to us, whether it is by guiding them to the right people, or educating them through our personal experiences.
We are helping those Veterans who may be experiencing PTSD symptoms by offering hope, and peer support from those who are having the same issues.
We are offering a supportive environment for Families and Spouse’s who may be going through difficult times before, during, and after a deployment to share their concerns and difficulties that they may be going through.
IVSI's goal is to reestablish a sense of self worth to Veterans who may need help, to let them know they are not forgotten. The war may not end for some Veterans when they return home. It is up to us to help lead the way out of the darkness of their experiences and bring to them hope.

Currently we have a support group that meets once a week on Friday at Ekklesia church 2230 W 78th ave in Merrillville. If you would like more information this group please contact us.
By committing ourselves to dedication in our service to others, we hope to establish a safe and positive environment.
We are in our beginning stages of this organization. If you would like to help us in our cause please contact us. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
